About Us

Welcome and thank you for your interest in our company!  We are a local business, owned and operated by me, Eric Sherwood.  I am native of Virginia Beach and grew up in the Pungo section of the city.  Since I was a little kid I have always had an interest in all things outdoor.  Upon completing high school I enrolled in the Biology program at Old Dominion University.  I graduated in December of 2006 with honors, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology with a minor in Oceanography.  After graduation I pursued several different careers, but ultimately came back to my true passion, the outdoors.  My desire to work outside along with my love of education made the lawn care industry a perfect choice.  Since taking full control of the company in June of 2009 I have made it my priority to continue my education in order to better serve my customers.   In the fall of 2009, I enrolled at TCC to take lawn care classes.  I have since completed the turfgrass management course and the landscape management course.  I look forward to helping all my customers better understand their lawn care needs and hope that through education I can provide a better service.  Thank you for your time and contact me anytime with questions that you may have or to request a free estimate.

See you soon,

Eric Sherwood

Homemade Drip Irrigation

Last season we had a real problem with watering!  During the heat of summer I just couldn’t seem to find enough time to get out and water the garden properly.  As a result much of the crop was severely injured or lost due to drought.  In order to ensure this didn’t happen again I began researching home [...]

A brief history of our garden!

One of the things that I enjoy most is trying  to grow my own vegetables (emphasize trying).  My parents always had a backyard garden and I think I didn’t appreciate it enough growing up. Over the last two years I have rediscovered the joy (and frustration) of growing your own food.  This all started after I [...]
